Located inside the historic 5-star Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach, Tarnished Truth is the first and only distillery in a hotel in the United States. Founded by Virginia Beach native Andrew Yancey and led by master distiller Larry Ebersold, the distillery features a 500-gallon hybrid pot still system with a 20-foot vodka column, all handcrafted by Vendome Copper and Brass Works of Kentucky. The distillery sits where the hotel’s original laundry facility once stood, now offering tours, private tastings, and a gift shop alongside the famous Hunt Room restaurant.
