About Whiskey Mappers

A mom-and-son journey, one distillery and one good story at a time.

The people behind the map

Whiskey Mappers began with a shared curiosity between a mom and her son: what makes a whiskey taste like the place it comes from? That question turned ordinary trips into opportunities to seek out local distilleries, meet the people behind the stills, and learn how grain, water, weather, tradition, and a little experimentation shape every bottle.

We explore whiskey destinations across the United States and around the world, from historic bourbon country and small-town craft operations to celebrated whisky regions overseas. Along the way, we collect the practical details that make a visit easier and the stories that make each stop memorable.

Neither of us believes whiskey needs to be intimidating. This site is our growing field guide for curious travelers, longtime enthusiasts, and anyone who would rather learn by exploring. Our goal is simple: help you find a new place, understand what makes it distinctive, and enjoy the journey responsibly.
