Located at 8651 Wattsburg Rd in Erie, PA, Before The Barrel Distillery was founded in August 2022 by Bernie Blore, a Harborcreek native with a chemical engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh and nearly a decade of distillation industry experience in Arkansas. The distillery specializes in small-batch handcrafted spirits, including traditional and flavored moonshines, whiskey, rum, and gin, with a signature age-your-own whiskey program and a commitment to producing spirits ‘strong enough to mix and smooth enough to sip.’
