About

Philadelphia Distilling is the first craft distillery in Pennsylvania since prohibition, founded in 2005 to create compelling spirits geared for the American palate. After a decade of solitary work in their original warehouse turned lab, they’ve put their process on display in their new distillery where you can watch the spirits being made and sample the revolutionary results.

Spirits

Bluecoat American Dry Gin

Bluecoat American Dry Gin is handcrafted using a proprietary blend of organic botanicals, highlighted by American citrus peels and a softer, rounder juniper berry, as well as angelica & coriander, making it uniquely different than London dry style gins. The nose leads with refreshingly sweet aromatics, giving way to soft and earthy juniper notes, with a bright finish that is exceptionally long and pleasing to the senses.

Bluecoat Barrel Finished Gin

Bluecoat Barrel Finished Gin is the gin for whiskey drinkers, produced by finishing Bluecoat American Dry Gin in new, charred American Oak barrels for 8 months. This results in a well-rounded, complex liquid with hints of caramel, vanilla and toffee without sacrificing the juniper or peppery notes, creating a truly unique gin that is fragrant, vibrant yet mellow.

Bluecoat Elderflower Gin

Bluecoat Elderflower Gin features an infusion of organic elderflower through a maceration process that gives the classic American Dry Gin a light floral taste and heady fragrance. This new distillery-only bottling reflects the distillers’ talents and the evolution of Bluecoat’s unique style, continuing the legacy in gin.

Cocktails

Philadelphia Distilling offers a selection of cocktails alongside their spirits, providing crafted mixed drinks that showcase their distillery’s signature spirits.

Penn 1681 Rye Vodka

Penn 1681 Rye Vodka pays homage to Pennsylvania’s history when rye whiskey was so distinctive it became known as Pennsylvania- or Monongahela-Style Rye Whiskey. We chose to make a rye-forward vodka to pay homage to the grain’s important role in Pennsylvania’s history, with rye adding a rich, chocolatey character to an otherwise clean and crisp vodka.

The Bay Seasoned Vodka

The Bay Seasoned Vodka captures the spirit of the Chesapeake Bay, launched in March 2013. Our handcrafted vodka is distilled four times using only the highest quality American grains before being infused with traditional Chesapeake Bay seasonings made in Maryland, resulting in a smooth, savory vodka with notes of celery seed, black and red pepper, nutmeg, cardamom, spice and salt.

Vieux Carré Absinthe Supérieure

Vieux Carré Absinthe Supérieure is the first legal absinthe to be distilled, bottled and sold on the East Coast of the United States in nearly 100 years. Its flavor and color are derived exclusively from 100% natural herbs including Grande Wormwood, Petite Wormwood, Green and Star Anise, Fennel Doux, Lemon Balm, Genepi, Hyssop and Spearmint, creating a complex balance between sweetness from Star Anise and the bitterness of Wormwood.

Vigo Amaro

Vigo Amaro is a darkly sweet American expression of the traditional Italian liqueur, reflecting the adventurous spirit of its namesake Francis Vigo, a revolutionary Italian financier who supported American independence. Its composition includes California dried plums, nutmeg, rose, elderflower, cinnamon, cinchona bark and kola nut, rounded out by unrefined muscavado sugar with a rich molasses flavor and touch of minerality that delivers a slight savory edge.
