About

Philadelphia Distilling is the first craft distillery in Pennsylvania since prohibition, founded in 2005 to create compelling spirits geared for the American palette. Located in Fishtown, Philadelphia at 25 E. Allen Street and King of Prussia at 160 N Gulph Rd, the distillery crafts artisan spirits that honor the revolutionary spirit of Philadelphia.

Spirits

Bluecoat American Dry Gin

Pioneered what is now known as American Dry style gin, handcrafted using a proprietary blend of organic botanicals highlighted by American citrus peels and a softer, rounder juniper berry. It offers refreshingly sweet aromatics with soft earthy juniper notes, an intensely smooth body with complex depth, and an exceptionally long bright finish.

Bluecoat Barrel Finished Gin

Bluecoat American Dry Gin that has been finished in barrels, a process that enhances the rounder, softer notes and introduces hints of caramel and whiskey without sacrificing juniper or pepper notes, creating a truly unique, amazingly fragrant and vibrant yet mellow gin.

Bluecoat Elderflower Gin

Bluecoat American Dry Gin infused with organic elderflower through a maceration process, giving it a light floral taste and heady fragrance. It represents a revitalization of craftsmanship and urban renewal, continuing the local legacy of gin in Philadelphia’s Fishtown section.

Penn 1681 Rye Vodka

A premium rye vodka that pays homage to Pennsylvania, honoring the home state with a spirit that embodies the revolutionary spirit and craftsmanship of Philadelphia Distilling.

The Bay Seasoned Vodka

Handcrafted vodka distilled four times using only the highest quality American grains before being infused with traditional Chesapeake Bay seasonings made in Maryland. The result is a smooth, savory vodka with notes of celery seed, black and red pepper, nutmeg, cardamom, spice and salt, capturing the spirit of the Chesapeake Bay.

Vieux Carré Absinthe Supérieure

The first legal absinthe to be distilled, bottled and sold on the East Coast of the United States in nearly 100 years, paying tribute to the unique and colorful history of Absinthe in New Orleans. Made with 100% natural herbs including fennel seed, grande wormwood, anise seed, star anise, and hyssop, it delivers a rich louche with warm, long and lingering finish that is harmonious, complex and subtle.

Vigo Amaro

A darkly sweet American amaro expression with the same complexity as traditional Italian liqueur, named after Francis Vigo, a revolutionary Italian financier who supported colonial independence. Its composition includes California dried plums, nutmeg, rose, elderflower, cinnamon, cinchona bark and kola nut, rounded out by unrefined muscovado sugar with a rich molasses flavor and touch of minerality.
