About

Tobacco Barn Distillery is a small, family-run craft distillery located in Southern Maryland that grows its own corn and sources rye from the local Mennonite community in Loveville. They handcraft all spirits on-site, double-distilling their mash and aging in charred oak barrels for at least 5 ½ years, with a signature ‘rye-forward’ mash bill containing approximately 25% rye.

Spirits

Bottled in Bond Bourbon

Compliant with the 1897 Bottled in Bond Act, this single barrel bourbon is aged ~5 ½ years and bottled at 100 proof (barrels at ~105 proof with minimal water added), featuring notes of dried cherry, oak, and caramel sweetness with a noticeable spicy rye finish.

Dancing Bee Honey Flavored Rum

Starting with their base rum and infused with local farm honey from Southern Maryland Beekeepers, this slightly sweet spirit retains its rum notes and easy drinkability.

Go Navy Beat Army Rum

Made from 100% Maryland molasses and aged over 5 years in Bourbon barrels, this single barrel rum replicates the traditional sailor’s rum with a distinctive bourbon barrel character.

Maryland Bourbon Cream

Handcrafted using their 5 year-aged Single Barrel Bourbon combined with rich cream, delivering bold vanilla and caramel flavors, perfect neat, over ice, in coffee, or mixed with root beer.

Moll Dyer Cinnamon Whiskey

A cinnamon whiskey named after Maryland folk hero Moll Dyer, aged in used charred oak barrels, honoring Southern Maryland history and heritage.

Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey

Made from farm-raised corn and rye from the Loveville Mennonite community with about 25% rye in the mash bill, aged approximately 5 ½ years in new charred oak barrels, featuring a heritage Southern Maryland recipe dating back to Basil Hayden.

Single Barrel Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey

Bottled directly from the cask at approximately 110 proof (same mash bill as Straight Bourbon, aged ~5 ½ years), delivering more caramel and oak notes with a smooth finish for neat drinking or mixed cocktails.

Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey

Using a majority of rye (greater than 70%) in the recipe, aged in new #3 charred oak barrels, offering a pleasant but very present spiciness characteristic of high-rye whiskies.
