RD1 Spirits is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon distillery founded in 2020 by Lexington entrepreneurs who were inspired by the history of RD#1, the first federally registered distillery in Lexington, Kentucky (established in 1865). Located at RD1 Distillery at The Commons in Lexington, the distillery specializes in small-batch wood-finished bourbons, crafting impressive Kentucky Straight Bourbon using 100% Kentucky corn, local limestone well water, and 100% copper equipment. RD1 has earned a spot on the famous Kentucky Bourbon Trail and celebrates the ‘firsts’ in life through their innovative wood finishing techniques.
