Located in Crestwood, Kentucky, Kentucky Artisan Distillery is a contract distiller and bottler founded in 2012 by Steve Thompson, Chris Miller, and Mike Loring. As the first contract distillery in Kentucky, KAD specializes in small-batch bourbon and spirit production using traditional farm-to-bottle methods with grains grown on their neighboring 700-acre Waldeck Farm property. Led by Master Distiller Jade Peterson, the distillery currently serves as the official home for Jefferson’s Bourbon and produces multiple award-winning brands while maintaining a production capacity of 6,000 barrels per year.
