About
James E. Pepper Distillery is a historic bourbon and rye whiskey distillery located at 1228 Manchester St. in Lexington, Kentucky (DSP-KY-5), originally founded during the American Revolution by Colonel James E. Pepper and fully restored after decades of disrepair. The brand is the oldest whiskey brand made in Kentucky, dating to 1780, and the distillery began distilling again in December 2017 using the same historic recipe that was used when it shut down in 1967.
