Brothers Wright Distilling Co. is a distillery located in eastern Kentucky on a 1000-acre farm on the banks of the Tug Fork river in Pike County, KY bordering West Virginia. Founded by brothers Kendall and Shannon Wright, who discovered a historic underground coal mine from the Leckie Colleries Co. that operated from 1913-1946, the distillery is known for creating the world’s first coal mine-aged bourbon. Lincoln Henderson, who spent nearly 40 years with Brown-Forman developing legendary bourbon brands and tasted over 430,000 barrels in his lifetime, came out of retirement in 2006 to help develop their bourbon using the unique coal mine aging process.
