Wilderness Trail Distillery is a modern craft distillery in Danville, Kentucky, co-owned by Shane Baker and Dr. Pat Heist, that uses modern science to optimize old-world distilling traditions. Named Kentucky Manufacturer of the Year in 2016 and the official 18th stop on the historic Kentucky Bourbon Trail in 2020, the distillery produces 215 barrels daily using the time-honored sweet mash process while aging spirits for at least four years in bonded warehouses and bottling at precisely 100 proof to maintain Bottled-in-Bond certification.
