Apple Brandy Barrel Aged
Produced from over a dozen varieties of apples grown in the cool coastal mountains of Northern California, including local Hauer and crabapple varieties, matured in barrels to develop smooth, complex fruit-forward character.
Osocalis Distillery is a small, artisanal operation in Soquel, California, founded in the early 1990s by Daniel Farber, who spent time in the Cognac region of France learning traditional distilling techniques. The name Osocalis is the original Native American name for Soquel, and the distillery uses an antique Alambic Charentais still imported from Cognac to produce estate-grown brandies from grapes and over 50 varieties of French cider apples grown on dry-farmed orchards in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
