Burnt Barn Distilling Co. is a veteran-founded distillery established in 2018 in Paradise, California, in the foothills of the town devastated by the Camp Fire. Owned by Melissa Schuster and her family, including USAF veterans Taylor Schuster and Danae, the distillery produces all spirits from locally sourced ingredients through their state-of-the-art, hand-crafted Vendome Copper & Brass Works equipment. Dedicated to community rebuilding and promoting the Paradise Ridge, they craft exceptional spirits under two labels: Burnt Barn Distilling Co. for their flagship bourbon and Embers to Eden for their vodka, gins, and rums.
A Bourbon of Resilience first barreled in April 2024 by Head Distiller Taylor Schuster, with additional artistry by Head Distiller Massimiliano ‘Massi’ Stecca on early 2025 barrels. This superior product rivals the best bourbons and will release June 26th, 2026 as the brilliant ‘Taste of Paradise’.
Same carefully crafted spirit as White Rum, aged in a charred oak barrel from Kelvin Cooperage. The barrel transforms the spirit, adding color, depth, and character while preserving the craftsmanship that defines every bottle.
