Paula’s Texas Spirits is Austin, Texas’ first and only women-owned distillery, founded by Paula Angerstein in 2005. After falling in love with Limoncello liqueur while exploring the Italian countryside, Paula obtained the second distiller’s license in Texas and became the first woman ever licensed to distill spirits in the state. The company produces all-natural, gluten-free liqueurs made with fresh Texas citrus fruits hand-zested at the distillery, pure cane sugar, and Texas Hill Country rainwater, with leftover fruit donated to rescue animals at the Austin Zoo.
