About
Founded in 2010 in Hillsboro, Oregon, Big Bottom Distilling is inspired by the nearby Big Bottom wilderness area near Mt. Hood and dedicated to supporting Oregon’s conservation and wildlife efforts. The distillery was originally established as a non-distilling producer of whiskeys, transitioned to full distillation in 2014-2015, was acquired by Eastside Distilling in 2017, and returned to original distiller Travis Schoney’s ownership in 2023 with a brand relaunch in 2024.
