Telluride Distilling Company is Telluride’s first legal distillery, founded with a small stove top still and a dream to create artisan spirits in the heart of the Colorado mountains. The distillery draws from a rich local history of prohibition-era moonshining, where up to nine tons of sugar would pass through town, fueling the area’s reputation for high-quality whiskey that reached as far as New York.
