Dakota Spirits Distillery is a small family-run artisan distillery located on a plateau a couple miles north of the Missouri River in Pierre, South Dakota. They work with local products to produce high-quality spirits using a small batch copper still, South Dakota grains, and naturally sand-filtered water from the upper Missouri basin, with their extreme climate of hot, dry summers and cold winters perfectly suited for rapidly aging spirits in American Oak barrels.
Named after the Lewis & Clark Expedition year, this award-winning oat whiskey is made from local South Dakota oats (the state’s number one crop), aged four to six years in new charred American Oak barrels, offering a smooth, clean taste with slightly sweet and subtle nutty characteristics.
