Jean Baptiste Spirits is a family-owned distillery located in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, in the heart of ‘Cajun Country’ between St. Martinville and Broussard. The distillery practices the craft of Cajun rum distilling, a tradition passed down through generations starting with their 7th-great-grandfather Jean-Baptiste Honoré d’Estréhan de Beaupré in the 1750s. Their 18,000 sq/ft facility uses a hybrid pot still to craft small batch rums entirely on-site, from fermenting to bottling, utilizing local South Louisiana sugarcane and molasses from within a 10-mile radius.
An ultra-premium rum created by aging Silver Rum Select in second-fill charred White Oak barrels that were previously used to age molasses, then finished for at least an additional month in Louisiana Bald Cypress casks, lightly toasted on the inside, before being proofed down to 86 proof (43% ABV) and hand-bottled.
A slow-fermented, slow-distilled house spirit crafted from premium Louisiana sugarcane and sourced local South Louisiana molasses, aged in ex-bourbon barrels for several months, then lightly polished and clarified through crushed pecan nutshells before being proofed to 82 proof (41% ABV) and hand-bottled.
