About
Cedar Ridge Distillery, founded in 2005 by Jeff Quint, is Iowa’s first licensed distillery since Prohibition, located at 1441 Marak Rd in Swisher, Iowa. The family-owned operation crafts authentic spirits using the finest Iowa-grown corn and grains from America’s Grain Belt, with their process spanning from on-site grain storage and milling through twice-distilling and aging in non-temperature-controlled rick houses where Iowa’s weather aids barrel expansion and contraction. Cedar Ridge has won numerous national and international awards including “Distillery of the Year” by the American Distilling Institute in 2017, “Best American Craft Whiskey” at the 2016 New York World Spirits Competition, and has been named Best American Single Malt by John Barleycorn in 2021 and 2022.
