Copper Mule Distillery is a heritage distillery located on the historic Kallmeyer family farm in Hermann, Missouri, founded in 2019 by Don and Jeanne Gosen. The name honors the Kallmeyer family mules that grazed the property starting in 1910, while the spirits themselves pay homage to Jeanne’s great grandfather Captain Gustav Wohlt, who established the Hermann Distilling Company in 1893. Five generations of local entrepreneurial spirit and a four-generation mule farm converge in this family-run operation that sources its own corn from the century-old Gosen Farm.
