About

Bear Wallow Distillery is a family-operated craft micro-distillery located in the tiny town of Gnaw Bone, Indiana, nestled in the hills of Brown County about an hour south of Indianapolis. As one of Indiana’s first craft distilleries, they use locally grown grains and an old-fashioned copper pot still to produce handcrafted artisanal spirits including bourbon, rye, and moonshine.

Spirits

Bear Trap

A potent 120-proof moonshine made with wheat and bottled at full barrel strength, known for being very smooth and creamy sweet despite its high proof.

Gnaw Bone Straight Bourbon

A 100-proof aged bourbon whiskey made with locally grown grains and barrel-aged at Bear Wallow’s copper pot still.

Hidden Holler

An 80-proof corn whiskey moonshine made with 85% corn and 15% malted barley, representing the lighter, smoother side of Bear Wallow’s moonshine lineup.

Hoosier Hooch

A 100-proof moonshine that gets its character from being barrel-aged at 120 proof before bottling, giving it a distinctive Indiana heritage flavor.

Liar's Bench Rye

A 100-proof aged rye whiskey crafted from locally grown grains in the distillery’s traditional copper pot still.

Straight Rye

A classic straight rye whiskey produced from locally sourced grains using the distillery’s heritage copper pot still.
