About

Gristmill Distillers is a New York state farm distillery located in Keene, nestled in the Adirondack Mountains, dedicated to crafting traditional spirits from locally-sourced ingredients. They source, mash, and distill locally using spring water from a natural spring near their facility, corn from Adirondack Organic Grains, apples from Rulf’s Orchard, and barrels from U.S. Barrel—the oldest cooperage in the northeast. Their spirits honor Adirondack heritage and the six-million-acre protected wilderness that surrounds them.

Spirits

1892 Forever Wild Apple Brandy

Made from apples freshly pressed by Rulf’s Orchard and aged in new American oak barrels, this brandy is crisp, snappy, and slightly dry with a floral nose and hint of cinnamon, named after the Adirondack Park’s 1892 establishment.

Black Fly American Whiskey

Crafted from a mash bill of 70% New York rye and 30% New York corn, aged in used American oak barrels, delivering spice, sweetness, caramel, and cinnamon with a mellow, warm finish.

Black Fly Straight Bourbon

A 100% New York corn whiskey aged in new American oak barrels, offering notes of oak, sap, corn, and spice with a clean finish and lingering oak hint.

Rusty Piton Corn Whiskey

A white, unaged corn whiskey made with Adirondack Organic Grain corn and mountain spring water, offering buttery, earthy, and slightly sweet flavors named for the mountaineers who climb nearby peaks.
