Black Dirt Apple Jack
A spirit crafted from locally sourced apples, produced alongside their bourbon and rye as one of the distillery’s original award-winning offerings.
Black Dirt Distilling was formed in March 2012 and is the first micro-distillery in New York State, producing approximately 60 barrels of whiskey or apple jack every week in their 4,000 square foot facility with a 60-foot distillation column in Pine Island, NY. Founded by Jason Grizzanti and Jeremy Kidde, the distillery sources ingredients directly from the Black Dirt region - dark, fertile soil left by an ancient glacial lake that once covered thousands of acres of upstate New York, perfectly suited for growing corn and rye.
